Kennedy Applauds Supreme Court Decision
Prohibiting Discrimination Against Military Recruiters on Campuses
St. Paul,
Mar 8 -
U.S. Senate candidate Mark Kennedy was pleased with the Supreme Court ruling this week that upholds a law prohibiting discrimination against the military on college campuses. He released the following statement:
“The Supreme Court made the right decision in upholding the federal law that prevents taxpayer funded institutions from discriminating against the military. By upholding the Solomon Amendment, the Court reaffirmed that colleges and universities taking federal money must allow employers, including the Armed Forces, to recruit on campus.
“Do the Democrats running for the U.S. Senate agree the Supreme Court made the right decision to allow our military to recruit on campus or do they support discriminating against our military? Minnesotans have the right to know.”
