4th Generation Minnesota Public Servant

Mark’s Ancestors:

Front Row - Grandpa Charles Kennedy, Mayor of Murdock; Uncle Earl, Pearl Harbor Veteran, Grandma Rose, whose father was Swift County Commissioner in the 1890’s
Back Row - Uncle Chet, Father Eugene Served on Pequot Lakes School Board for 27 years, Uncle Harold
The Kennedy family story is just like the story of millions of Minnesotans; indeed it is the story of America itself -- people coming to America’s shores, to Minnesota looking for a better life. The Kennedy family has been in Minnesota since the 1860s. They think it’s a pretty special place.

Mark’s ancestors started out without much, farmers along the rail line. But they knew that if they worked hard, trusted in God, and served causes larger than themselves they could prosper, and give their children a better life.

Fun Fact:
Four generations of Minnesota Kennedy’s have served in elective office. Their names are inscribed on the courthouse that issued Mark’s birth certificate, the church where he was baptized and the high school from which he graduated.

With 5 generations of Minnesota Kennedy’s behind him, Mark will continue to deliver for you
Quote:
"I am honored to continue in my family’s more than century long heritage of public service and will continue to work hard to deliver common sense solutions and results for Minnesota families." - Mark Kennedy
