Family Values

My parents instilled in me the values that continue to guide me to this day. These are the same values which made Minnesota great. I will continue to protect and defend those values in the United States Senate.

Growing up, my mother would sit all seven of us kids down in the living room and read us newspaper clippings so we could see how our values were applied to the issues of the day. She still sends me newspaper clippings and calls me to make sure I’m reading them.

My number one priority is and always will be my family. Debbie and I are blessed to be celebrating 25 years of marriage this year. Over the years we have grown closer, stronger and more devoted to one another and our children. We consider our four children to be our most precious blessings and our first priority. Every decision we make is based upon their best interest.

As our common sense Minnesota values continue to come under assault by extremist groups and liberal activist judges, it’s that much more important that we remain vigilant.
